Born in Ohio and raised in Texas, Colleen received her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute - where she met the love of her life and husband, porcelain sculptor Brock DeBoer. They moved to Los Angeles from KC for a couple of years, where Colleen worked in the vintage fashion industry. Eventually they migrated to Joshua Tree, CA, where they built their dream 1980s style home “Brick’s Pastel Palace” and set up their art studio in the idyllic high desert - with their beloved Pekingese and Colleen’s muses Brick & Block.
